The little things #2

Happy Bank Holiday Guys…

Its Sunday, and we all know what that means, A round up of my favourite things this week.

It’s been a funny old week, this week. Started off hard, ended on a high. As we all knew if you’ve been following my Instagram, I’ve been anxiously awaiting my biopsy results from a recent surgery, so the beginning of the week was hard.

Last Sunday I was at a baby shower (which was lovely) But I could feel my anxiety sat there on my shoulder, laughing at me… I lasted all an hour and half! However, it was lovely to see everyone, I’ve been hiding myself away these past few days with how I’ve been feeling but it was a gentle reminder that we need to get out, we need friends, giggles and a bit of girl talk.

This week I’ve spent a lot of time with family, which with everyone’s busy lives can be quite difficult. A shopping and dinner date with my mama, more shopping with my younger sister and plenty of giggles with my brood here at home. Proves a point that laughter can be the best medicine.

THE best thing to happen to me this week, was of course my biopsy results.

My beautiful followers on Instagram have been my agony aunts these past few weeks, and it hasn’t gone unnoticed. You are all amazing!
But on Thursday, I finally got that phone call we had all been waiting for… Rachel, my Macmillan nurse had some fabulous results, the tests came back CLEAR.

Absolute music to everyone’s ears.

Nothing’s going to beat that this week, any fighter will understand the wait for results is often the worst part. the unknown, the worry, fear that your cancer is returning can overwhelm you and engulf you into one big horrible nightmare.

More so now than ever, with everything that’s in the media, personal problems, etc. we come to realise that life’s too short.

Love hard, breathe in every second, smile, be kind, laugh and then laugh some more. Hug, hold hands, make plans, and life for every second.

With Love, Gem x
