How to with Gem- Supermarket Gradual tanners.

Good evening lovelies..

Hope everyone’s enjoying a lovely bank holiday weekend, with the weather being so nice and sunbathing not being a option for a stage 3 Melanoma survivor.. I resort to my favourite thing.. FAKE TAN!

In my eyes it’s the safest way to tan, BUT there’s so many options out there, so many products it can all get a bit confusing!

So here’s my reviews of the top 3 HIGH STREET/ SUPERMARKET gradual tanning moisturisers

1. Bottom of my list because well, I just don’t think it’s that good! -brutal but the truth.. this product is like marmite, you either love it or hate it!

DOVE SUMMER GLOW – £3 Asda.com

I’ve used this a few times now, hoping that each time would be better then the rest, but I just doesn’t work on me! I look the same pale colour I do before I apply it.. To me, it has the not very pleasant biscuit smell and even though I love other Dove products, this is a big NO NO for me!

1 out of 5 stars.

2. I bought this because at the time it had good reviews. However now, they are much more mixed.

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Natural Bronze Gradual Tanning Moisturiser – £3.79 boots.com

Firstly it made my skin unbelievably dry so I only used it once! Because of this I feel I can only comment on the one time and give advice to anyone who was to use it!

Be extra extra careful with elbows and feet, as they were quite streaky.. everywhere else did have a nice colour but the smell was absolutely awful.. If it wasn’t for the dryness I would possibly give this one another go but for now, I’m giving it a miss!

2 of out 5 stars

3. My absolute favourite and an absolute steal at £1.99 in bodycare.

GARNIER SUMMER BODY – £1.99 Bodycare

I love this, I can’t rave about it enough.. it has enough colour to get away with just one application but doesn’t go to shocking shades if applied again the next day..

I can wear this for a couple of days and doesn’t go streaky, just fades naturally when showering. It’s the cheapest out of the 3 tans but to be honest I would pay more.

It smells lovely, no biscuit smell. Just a nice fragrance, dries quickly and doesn’t rub on to clothes.. It’s the perfect pick me up glow! And my firm favourite!

4.5 out of 5 stars. (It’s gonna take a lot to beat this beauty)

Do you have a favourite gradual tanner?

With love, Gem x
